Quetta: Like the rest of the country, 80th Independence Day of Islamic Republic of Pakistan was observed on Friday in different parts of Balochistan with national fervor and solemnity.
The day began with special prayers in the mosques for unity, solidarity. and prosperity of the country. 21-gun salute was presented after the Fajar prayer to mark the day in the provincial capital. The principal ceremony was held at the ‘Sabzazar’ of the Balochistan.
Rallies and other programs were organized in respective areas of the province including provincial capital to observe 80th Independence Day with national zeal.
Addressing the ceremonies and gatherings, the speakers highlighted that Pakistan was a strong country and faces various challenges, we were moving forward while facing this country which came into existence on 27th of Ramadan.
‘It is Allah’s blessing for us to move forward as a nation out of caste, nationality, Sindhi, Punjabi, Baloch, Pashtun for the construction and development of the country. Pakistan would be defended with strong hands and no one could see it with blind eyes’, they mentioned.
The speakers’ also payed rich tribute to martyrs who had given their precious lives of sacrifices for independence and strengthen of the country.
However, the national flag was hosted by government high officials in their respective areas Balochistan including Mastung, Nasirabad, Kalat, Khuzdar, Jaffarabad,Suhbatpur, Pishin, Harnai, Musakhel, Ziarat, Killa Saifullah, Dablandin, Kharan, Loralai, Sibi, Msulim Bagh, Lasbella, Bolan, Kohlu and other areas.
Security forces including police and Frontier Corps (FC) were assigned to ensure security measures in areas of Balochistan during celebration of Independence Day.
