Karachi: Federal Minister for Railways Muhammad Hanif Abbasi on Thursday inspected Cargo Express Train Loading Station (KBX) at Karachi Port.
Speaking on the occasion, the Federal Minister directed the officials concerned to ensure the dispatch of freight trains in the minimum possible time.
Subsequently, Federal Minister for Railways, Muhammad Hanif Abbasi visited the Karachi Port West Wharf Terminals.
The General Manager Operations, Karachi Port Trust, Rear Admiral Atiq ur Rehman Abid, welcomed the delegation.
They reviewed the phosphate loading lines, railway connectivity, yards, and freight operations.
The Federal Minister for Railways directed to expedite the transportation of the large volume of cargo available at the ports via the railway network.
He said that maximum coaches should be utilized to transport freight cargo via the railway.
