Sukkur: Minister for Universities and Boards Muhammad Ismail Rahu, along with Secretary Universities Ghulam Abbas Baloch, inaugurated a state-of-the-art central library at the Aror University of Art, Architecture, Design and Heritage.
Speaking on the occasion, Minister for Universities Muhammad Ismail Rahu said that the aim of the library is to provide students with a modern educational, research and creative environment, said a release issued here on Monday.
He said the central library is equipped with over 5,000 books, a Research and Development Center, discussion rooms, SAP Koha Library Management System, RFID security, self check-in/out facility, digital scanning, high-speed Wi-Fi and access to millions of e-resources.
The provincial minister further said that the library also houses a digital library equipped with iPads and computers, along with modern reading halls with a capacity of 400 students.
He added that with a fully air-conditioned environment and 24 hour CCTV surveillance, the modern library would provide a safe, technology enabled and high quality academic and research environment for students and researchers.
