Sukkur: On the directives of Chief Executive Officer, Sindh Rural Support Organization (SRSO), Muhammad Dittal Kalhoro, SRSO Khairpur office on Friday celebrated the 79th Years of Independence with great national zeal and fervor in Gambat.
The chief guest of the ceremony was Pakistan Peoples Party MNA, Dr. Mahreen Bhutto.
Regional General Manager SRSO, Aamir Abbas Mangi welcomed the participants and extended Independence Day greetings.
On the occasion, solar plates, fans and batteries were distributed among more than 200 poor and deserving women to protect them from electricity load-shedding.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Mahreen Bhutto said that the Sindh provincial government, in collaboration with SRSO, is taking every possible step to empower poor rural women and the work of SRSO is commendable.
On this occasion, former Chairman Khuhra Mian Razaque Dano, Vice Chairman Sajjad Haider Shah, Abbas Rajpar, Sarfaraz Memon, Aziz Narejo, Aziz Phull, Roshan Ajan, Noor Bhutto, Bashir Narejo, Firdous Sheikh, Yaseen Khuhro and others were also present.
MNA Dr. Mahreen Bhutto appreciated the work of SRSO, saying that SRSO is doing excellent work across Sindh. At the end of the ceremony, PPP MNA Dr. Mahreen Bhutto also met with the women present in the venue.
