Multan: The Regional Directorate Multan of the Punjab Food Authority (PFA) held a ceremony on Thursday to mark Pakistan’s 79th Independence Day with patriotic spirit.
Director Operations South Rameez Zafar, Additional Director Operations Aamir Iftikhar and other officers and employees attended the ceremony. The event began with the national anthem, followed by the hoisting of the national flag and cutting of the Independence Day cake.
Special prayers were offered for the security, stability, progress and prosperity of Pakistan.
Addressing the participants, Rameez Zafar said August 14 reminded the nation of the sacrifices and struggle of its forefathers for an independent homeland. He urged officers and employees to perform their duties with honesty, dedication and professionalism and reaffirmed PFA’s commitment to ensuring safe, quality and healthy food for the public.
The ceremony concluded with prayers for the peace, progress and prosperity of Pakistan.
